Baylor University - M.M. University of Oklahoma - Ph.D. in Music Education Bio: Dr. Heath Jones, Associate Professor of Music, joined the Oklahoma Christian faculty in 2000. He teaches applied saxophone and clarinet, music education, music technology, jazz improvisation, and directs the Jazz Ensemble and Sweat Band. He is an active professional performer in the Oklahoma City area, and serves as a Past-President of the Oklahoma chapter of the International Association for Jazz Education. His professional performance experience includes the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Temptations, the Four Tops, Frankie Avalon, Jim Neighbors, and Leslie Gore. |
