Soccer signee named Arkansas Player of the Year

Oklahoma Christian soccer signee Matt Lambert was named the Arkansas Boys Soccer Player of the Year by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette on Sunday.

Playing at Central Arkansas Christian in Little Rock, Lambert accumulated a state-record 37 goals in 2008. He also owns the state career record with 101 all-time scores. Central Arkansas Christian took home the Class 4A state championship behind Lambert this season.

Lambert was also named to the All-Arkansas Boys Soccer Team on Sunday.
