At the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., the Eagles took the top two spots in the men’s college mile with Jordan Powell and Silas Kisorio blazing the field, and setting a school record in the process. Powell finished in 4:06.63 to break his own school record (4:09.9, 2007) and edge Kisorio’s 4:06.72 time.

Oklahoma Christian University took a split with Bacone College (Okla.) in college baseball action on Monday. The Eagles beat the Warriors 10-3 in the opener before falling 7-2 in the nightcap.

OC used a 15-2 run to take a second-half lead against Wayland Baptist Saturday, but Shamon Doss’ putback with two seconds left lifted the Flying Queens to a 72-68 win over the Lady Eagles.
Jason Taylor tallied 23 points and Jeff Crocker and David Jackson also scored in double figures to lead Oklahoma Christian to its second-straight win, a 70-59 triumph over pesky Wayland Baptist (Texas) Saturday.
