Happy Birthday Dan!
Dan is 31 today. Such an old man!
Dan says: Having a GREAT b-day so far. We started last night. Angi took me to Cascata here in Edmond where we had the early-bird special. Cascata was good - the calamari, salad, and desserts were phenomenal. I had the beef with risotto and just wasn’t that impressed. The beef was excellent, but rarer than I ordered. The risotto tasted like cheese dip - too strong! And the reduction was too salty. But the asparagus they served was tiny and tender. And the beef was very, very good. Angi had the poussin (very small chicken) with fingerling potatoes and loved it. For dessert we shared cinnamon creme brulée and cheescake with tart strawberry sauce. After an hour at Barnes and Noble, we picked up Elijah at Penny’s and came home. Thanks so much Penny!
When we got home, Angi presented me with a Logic3 iStation for my iPod*. Now we can listen to the iPod anywhere in the house. I love it, love it, LOVE IT! (Up ‘til now, we haven’t had a stereo system with any kind of input, so I had to use headphones to listen to the iPod)
This morning we went to IHOP for breakfast. Continuing with more details than you want to know - I had country griddle cakes with blueberries, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Angi had biscuits and gravy. Elijah grazed on it all.
It’s been a wonderful birthday so far!
* - LJ & Kari - the iPod is the gift that keeps on giving. Thank you!
