The Oklahoma Christian University Department of Music invites you to attend the final concert of the 2012-2013 season presented by the Oklahoma Community Orchestra on Sunday, June 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Oklahoma Christian’s Hardeman Auditorium (to see a campus map, follow this link http://www.oc.edu/about/map.aspx). Under the direction of Dr. John Fletcher, this event will feature several patriotic, pops, and light classics selections, including the Battle Hymn of the Republic, Stars and Stripes Forever, a medley from Les Miserables, Leroy Anderson’s Trumpeter’s Lullaby, Vaughan Williams’ English Folk Song Suite, and a tribute to our Armed Forces. Additionally, the orchestra will feature electric violinist and guitarist Gregory Walker as a soloist on two Vivaldi selections, as well as an original work which draws its inspiration from an Aerosmith song.
