Tennis teams move up in national ranking

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (March 10, 2010) – The Oklahoma Christian women’s and men’s tennis teams each moved up in this week’s NAIA national coaches’ top 25 polls released Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles moved up two spaces from No. 12 to No. 10 this week after receiving 295 votes. The OC women’s squad received 232 votes two weeks ago.

Now 5-1, the Lady Eagles will head to the Auburn University Montgomery Spring Invitational on March 12-14.

The Eagles moved up just one spot to No. 7 after a No. 8 ranking in the previous poll. The OC men’s tennis squad received 298 votes this week compared to an almost identical 297 votes in Feb. 23’s poll.

The Eagles have advanced to 10-1 for the season and will join the women at the AUM Spring Invitational this weekend.
