OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Feb. 24, 2010) – The Oklahoma Christian tennis teams remained high in the marks in this week’s NAIA national coaches’ top 25 poll with the women holding steady at No. 12 and the men moving up to No. 7.
The Lady Eagles’ tennis squad received the No. 12 position in the preseason and held the same rank in the first regular poll of the season. The OC women, now 5-1, earned 232 votes in this week’s poll compared to the 211 votes they received two weeks ago.
The men’s squad moved up one spot from their previous No. 8 position. The men received 259 votes in the preseason poll on Feb. 9, and bettered their rank with 297 votes this week. Now at No. 7, the Eagles are 9-1 overall.
The OC tennis teams will play at Edmond’s Oak Tree Country Club on Friday and Saturday in the Eagle Tennis Indoor Classic.
