Lynn returns to OC golf program

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (July 13, 2010) – Kelsey Cline has resigned as the men’s head golf coach for Oklahoma Christian with David Lynn returning to the program to pick up the reigns for the 2010-11 school year.

Cline left his post at OC in order to become former Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford’s personal assistant as the two have remained good friends over the years. Cline spent two years with the OC program and secured a national championship and runner-up finish.

Coach Lynn coached the Eagle golf squad prior to Cline’s arrival from 2000-2008. During that stretch, the OC golf team placed no worse than fourth at the NAIA national tournament and acquired three runner-up finishes.

Lynn returns to the OC scene with eager anticipation to continue coaching. “It is an honor to be back at Oklahoma Christian as the men’s golf coach,” said Lynn. “OC is a place that is very special to me and my family and I feel this is a wonderful opportunity to have a positive impact on young people’s lives. The golf team has done exceptionally well since its inception in 1996 and I look forward to carrying on and building more positive momentum in the future.”

With the return of Coach Lynn and four 2010 All-Americans, the OC golf squad looks to a bright 2010-11 season.
