Katy Clift scored 15 points for OC in a win Saturday at Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas).
WAXAHACHIE, Texas (Nov. 12, 2011) – Oklahoma Christian tied the single-game school record for 3-pointers en route to an 86-58 rout of host Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles hit 17 treys, matching the record set against Paul Quinn (Texas) on Dec. 11, 2009. Oklahoma Christian (3-0) forced Southwestern Assemblies of God (3-1) into 51 turnovers, allowing the Lady Eagles to pull away despite 35 turnovers of their own.
“It was a very physical game that turned into a very sloppy game,” OC head coach Stephanie Findley said. “I’m proud of the girls to be able to fight through some adversity.”
Katy Clift and Jessica Findley each scored 15 points to lead the Lady Eagles, while Logan McKee added 14. Southwestern Assemblies of God officials didn’t immediately provide a copy of the boxscore.
OC is 5-1 all-time against the Lions.
OC’s five-game road swing will continue Tuesday when the Lady Eagles travel to Langston.
