NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 7, 2010) – Silas Kisorio and Frezer Legesse claimed successful post season performances for the Oklahoma Christian track and field team on Saturday while Kisorio set a new school record in the 800-meter run.
At the Music City Distance Carnival, Legesse competed in the Men’s Invitational Mile event while Kisorio competed Men’s Invitational 800-meter run event.
Legesse ran to a 14th place finish in the event with a 4:07.72 performance to become the third fastest miler in program history behind Kisorio and Jordan Powell.
Kisorio finished in eighth place in the Invitational 800 event despite being less than two seconds off the leader. Kisorio clocked a 1:49.02 to better his own school record of 1:49.27 set just a week earlier at the NAIA outdoor national meet.
Assistant coach Sam Dech also competed in the Men’s Invitational Mile event and crossed the line just behind Legesse for 15th place with a 4:07.92.
