OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (March 30, 2010) – Five women from Oklahoma Christian’s women’s basketball team received NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, as was announced last week.
Cressi Bryant, Lisa Chenoweth, Kailan DeCamp, Barrie Mitchell and Devin Sewell all received the award for the Lady Eagles.
To qualify for the award, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have reached junior academic standing.
Bryant, Chenoweth, DeCamp, Mitchell and Sewell each have achieved senior academic status and met the GPA requirements.
Oklahoma Christian earned more NAIA Scholar-Athlete selections than any other team in the Sooner Athletic Conference and tied for third with three other schools in the NAIA with five student-athletes on the list.
