Fernandes earn All-America Honors

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Dec. 8, 2009) – Oklahoma Christian senior midfielder for the Eagles’ soccer team, Cristian Fernandes, received All-America Honorable Mention honors for the 2009 fall soccer season.

The All-America award is Ferenandes’ second after receiving All-America Third-Team honors in 2008.

Fernandes netted seven goals during the season and made three assists for a team high 17 points.

Fernandes scored a total of 44 goals and made 18 assists during his career as an Eagle (2006-09).

On Nov. 16, 2009, Fernandes was also recognized as an All-Conference First-Team selection for the Sooner Athletic Conference.
