HOUSTON (Sept. 18, 2011) – Oklahoma Christian salvaged a 0-0 tie on Sunday at St. Thomas (Texas) in the next-to-last nonconference game of the season for the Eagles.
Officials called the game at the 75-minute mark due to lightning and heavy rain in the area. The field was ruled unplayable due to the amount of rain.
St. Thomas officials did not immediately provide statistics for the game, but OC goalkeeper Tim Spencer shut out the Celts (0-3-1). It was the third shutout of the season posted by the Eagles (3-1-2).
OC will return home Friday to host Houston-Victoria (Texas) before traveling to Oklahoma City University on Sept. 27 for the Sooner Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
This video features scenes from Chuck White’s final home game as OC’s head baseball coach. Coach White was the driving force in the revival of the baseball program and the construction of Dobson Field and the Bobby Murcer Indoor Training Facility.
