OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (March 1, 2010) – The Oklahoma Christian men’s golf team jumped to the No. 1 position in the first NAIA national coaches’ top 25 poll on Friday after being ranked No. 11 in the preseason.
The Eagles earned seven of the possible 20 first-place votes and 536 votes overall to claim the No. 1 spot. In the preseason poll, the OC squad received the No. 11 position after receiving 374 votes.
The Eagles won their first scheduled competition coming back from 12 strokes behind in the third round to capture the Southern Nazarene University Arizona Intercollegiate Invite.
The OC golf squad will return to the green at the California Baptist University Invitational on March 8-9.
