Basketball teams make national tournaments

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 10, 2010) – Both Oklahoma Christian basketball teams were accepted into their respective NAIA National Tournaments on at-large bids Tuesday night.

The Oklahoma Christian women are one of four schools from the Sooner Athletic Conference competing in the tournament.

The Lady Eagles are scheduled to play in the Division I Women’s Basketball National Championship tournament on March 17-23, in Jackson, Tenn. The OC women will tip-off their first round game at 9:45 p.m. against No. 2 seeded Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) on March 17.

The Oklahoma Christian men are among five teams from the Sooner Athletic Conference joining the national tournament field.

The Eagles will play in the 73rd Annual Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball National Championship on March 17-23, held in Kansas City, Mo. at Municipal Auditorium. The OC men will play Louisiana State University-Shreveport on Thursday the 18th at 10:45 a.m. for their first round game.
