A Truly Unique Theatrical Experience
The Rock & the Rabbi is part one of a trilogy. Part two, “The Witnesses,” is playing as part of the same tour.
The Rock & The Rabbi has been enjoyed by audiences all over the country—from the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center to Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium to Orlando’s Plaza Theatre to Dallas’ Majestic Theatre to New York City’s Lambs Theatre. (The show is the first part of The Rock & The Rabbi trilogy. Part II has just opened and is called The Witnesses.)
The Rock & The Rabbi is unusual in the theatre—a hybrid—part concert, part storytelling, part musical. The blend of acoustic instruments and voices is both emotional and thrilling. And audiences keep coming back.
For the past 10 years, following every single performance of The Rock & The Rabbi, the entire cast comes out to meet and greet the audience. The #1 comment? “I was so surprised!” People are surprised that the band (comprised of virtuosos with an incredible variety of instruments) is not down in the orchestra pit—they’re right up on the stage. Surprised that a Storyteller can bring this familiar story to life. Surprised that they go home singing all the songs. Surprised that the 18 year-old loved the show as much as his 75 year-old grandfather.
Come see for yourself. If you like to be surprised, that is.
All showtimes 7:30pm unless otherwise noted. Oklahoma City performances are in Hardeman auditorium on the Oklahoma Christian University campus. Tulsa performances are at the Green County Events Center, at 31st & Garnett.
